Robert Martichenko – Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Robert Martichenko is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of LeanCor Supply Chain Group.

Robert has committed his career to building cultures focused on lean and operational excellence. Beginning his journey in transportation and warehousing, Robert has spent over 20 years learning and implementing lean and operational excellence with a focus on end to end supply chain management. Early in his career, Robert recognized the unmet logistics needs of lean manufacturers. Lean had long been utilized to improve manufacturing processes, but Robert realized it was time to extend these programs and start connecting lean principles to partners within the supply chain. This experience allowed Robert to found LeanCor for the sole purpose of supporting customers to advance their supply chains.

In addition to leading LeanCor, Robert is a senior instructor for the Lean Enterprise Institute and the Georgia Tech Supply Chain and Logistics Institute, a frequent speaker for professional industry groups around the world, and board advisor for the College of Charleston, Appalachian State University and The Urban Electric Company. Robert has written several business books – most recently, Discovering Hidden Profit (Karmack Publications). His other books include the two Shingo Research Award-winning books, People: a leader’s day to day guide to building, managing, and sustaining lean organizations (Karmack Publications) and Building a Lean Fulfillment Stream (Lean Enterprise Institute). Additionally, Robert is the author of Everything I Know About Lean I Learned in First Grade (Karmack Publications), Lean Six Sigma Logistics (J. Ross Publishing), and the novel, Drift and Hum (Karmack Publications), an IBPA Benjamin Franklin Gold Winner Award for Best Fiction Book.

He is a recipient of the 2015 Distinguished Service Award by the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), a “Pro to Know” by Supply & Demand Chain Executive, a 2014 “Rainmaker” by DC Velocity, and a 2015 C-Suite honoree by Venue & LEAD Magazine.

Robert complements his professional experience with a Bachelor Degree in Mathematics, an MBA in Finance, and a Six Sigma Black Belt.

Matt Melrose – Chief Operating Officer

As COO, Matt is responsible for leading Logistics Operations, Facilities, HR, Safety, Finance, and IT. Overseeing the operational implementation of sustainable lean processes within our customer’s supply chains, Matt ensures LeanCor’s solutions support purpose, people, and process in order for customers to achieve their organizational goals.  With Matt’s leadership, LeanCor is able to leverage its capabilities and team members across all business services to deliver superior customer value. He also leads the development of world class technology to provide optimal supply chain solutions to our customers and their channel partners.

Matt’s supply chain and logistics experience includes designing and implementing lean logistics solutions to support North American operations, leading specialized projects to improve operational efficiency, developing supply chain strategies to support new product implementation, and designing and managing cross-dock and sequencing facilities. His previous roles include various project and operational management positions at companies such as Ryder Logistics and Transfreight.

Matt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Supply Chain and Marketing and is a certified Lean Supply Chain Professional.

Dan Avila – Senior Vice President, Customer Solutions

As Senior Vice President of Customer Solutions, Dan is responsible for creating consulting and outsourcing solutions for LeanCor’s customers.

As a trusted advisor to senior executives, Dan has over 25 years of extensive supply chain and consulting experience in end-to-end supply chain management; supply chain optimization; distribution and fulfillment center design; supply, inventory, and demand planning; procurement and strategic sourcing; strategic outsourcing; distribution network design; domestic and global transportation; supply chain IT systems; global trade; material handling equipment; and industrial engineering.

Dan has provided supply chain consulting services in the following industries: food and beverage, retail, e-commerce, footwear and apparel, freight forwarding, third party logistics, medical products, industrial products, sporting goods, furniture, toys and educational products, children’s products, consumer electronics, automotive, government, energy and power distribution, private equity, and cosmetics.

Dan has led over 200 supply chain consulting engagements over his career and has served in consulting leadership positions at St. Onge Company and Tompkins International, as well as operations management and industrial engineering positions with United Parcel Service.

Dan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Operations Management from California State Polytechnic University (Cal Poly). Dan is a board member of the Rocky Mountain Roundtable for the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals.

Brad Bossence – Vice President, Customer Solutions

As Vice President of Customer Solutions, Brad’s responsibilities include creating consulting and outsourcing solutions for LeanCor’s customers. Brad has nearly 20 years of third party logistics experience with a specific focus in lean supply chain design and execution.  Brad has held various leadership roles in supply chain operations across the globe including factory and facility launches supporting automotive, retail, food and beverage and consumer packaged goods industries.  Prior to joining LeanCor, Brad spent 12 years working under the Mitsui umbrella supporting Toyota’s North American and European logistics infrastructure.

Brad is a Senior Instructor at the Georgia Tech Supply Chain and Logistics Institute, leading lean leaders through a cultural transformation in the US and also in Latin America in support of the Panama Canal expansion.  Brad is also President of the Atlanta WERCouncil (Warehouse Education and Resource Council).

Brad holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and an MBA in International Business and Organizational Behavior from the University of Windsor in Canada.  He is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and holds various lean and six sigma accreditation.
