Robert Martichenko – Senior Vice President
As an industry thought leader, Robert has spent over 25 years learning and implementing lean and operational excellence with a focus on end-to-end supply chain management across a wide array of industries.
Robert’s personal mission is to embrace a “human leadership” role where respect, relationships, education, courage and critical thinking still matter for businesses to remain relevant and competitive. As a professional speaker, Robert addresses topics such as “The Future of Leadership: Making Work Meaningful,” “One System – One Team: Assessing and Reducing Supply Chain Risk,” “Discovering Hidden Profit,” and “Building Cultures of Continuous Improvement.”
He volunteers on multiple advisory and educational institution boards and has received several prominent industry awards. Most notably, he received the Distinguished Service Award from the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), the highest recognition achievable for professionals in the supply chain industry.
Robert has written and co-written several business books, most recently, Discovering Hidden Profit. His other books include two Shingo Research award-winning books: People: A leader’s day-to-day guide to building, managing, and sustaining lean organizations and Building a Lean Fulfillment Stream. Additionally, Robert is the author of Everything I Know About Lean I Learned in First Grade and co-author of Lean Six Sigma Logistics. His debut novel, Drift and Hum, has won multiple awards including the IBPA Benjamin Franklin Gold Winner Award for Best First Book-Fiction. He has also written the poetic verse for two children’s books, It’s Perfect Being Me and A Day Well Spent.
Robert complements his professional experience with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, an MBA in Finance, and a Six Sigma Black Belt. Born in Timmins, Ontario, Canada, he and his family have lived in the United States for the past two decades.
Matt Melrose – Vice President, Operations
As Vice President of Operations, Matt is responsible for delivering end-to-end supply chain management solutions, providing outstanding service to both clients and team members, and driving profitable revenue growth.
Matt has directed large-scale engagements that have reduced cost and improved performance for a variety of LeanCor’s clients in the industrial manufacturing, automotive, retail, food and beverage, healthcare, construction, consumer goods, private equity, and professional service industries. These engagements span LeanCor’s integrated and innovative portfolio of services in logistics (3PL), supply chain consulting, and training and education. Matt challenges these organizations to change their thinking in order to reach the next level of business improvement required in today’s world of business disruption.
Matt’s systems-thinking leadership approach connects people and business processes in order to maximize customer value. He ensures LeanCor “practices what it preaches” by deploying effective corporate strategies centered around respecting people and creating a meaningful workplace.
Prior to joining LeanCor in 2007, Matt worked in various supply chain management capacities supporting Toyota and General Motors.
Matt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Supply Chain and Marketing and a Lean Supply Chain Professional Certificate.
